I’ve never seen anyone write a “y” that way. Overall, its a good font. I’m also glad they kept the church seal. I’m disappointed, though, that they got rid of the purple flag. You hardly see purple in flags, so that made our church’s flag truly unique and cool. Besides, purple was the colour of royalty and we viewed Jesus as royalty. Bring back the purple flag!

As an antiquarian bookman, I’ve studied innumerable fonts from the Middle Ages through the revival of fine press down to recent times. True, it might appear just a trifle precious to some, but I think it makes a nice compromise with many noble early fonts, adding a touch of modern originality. Also, I’m picky, picky, picky about such things, so that proves I’m right, heh . . .

I’m still not, but it’s been growing on me. The aspect of it that I like is that it implies a sortof informal/non-stodgy feeling.

However, you should have seen the old: “REORGANIZED CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS: THE TEMPLE: WORLD HEADQUARTERS: VISITORS WELCOME” sign — much, much worse.
